SWM bikes for test ride

The Italian manufacturer SWM are bringing a selection of their bikes to The Event so that you can test ride them. Members of the team from the UK importers will be on hand throughout the weekend to answer any questions you may have about the whole range.

The 600 Superdual, which comes in both X (21″ and 18″ wheels) and T (192 and 17″) form, will be there sporting its 54hp liquid cooled Husqvarna engine, adjustable suspension, sculpted seat and 18 litre tank.

There’ll also be the 440 Six Days model that Overland Magazine tested recently on the Lands End Trial and got such incredible fuel economy out of. Click the image above to watch the short video. And there’s also going to be the 440 Silver Vase model, which currently retails at at an astonishing £3499. Both of the 440s use Honda XR derived engines, built by Shineray in China, but the bikes themselves are all assembled in Biandronno on the shores of Lake Varese in northern Italy.
