A 4th edition of Chris Scott's guide to travel in Morocco is to be released this Christmas, fully updated for the 2025 season.
Chris Scott may well be the world's greatest north African overland knowledge base, but it's taken him 3 years and a further 25,000kms to research and update routes throughout Morocco, using both bikes and 4x4. There are many new routes over 24 maps in this edition too, this isn't just updated information for the routes in previous books, although 90% of those are freshly updated here.
For this 4th edition he's divided the country into 7 distinct regions, whether that be open desert or high mountain, but also, because Chris Scott just can't keep away from North Africa and has been riding there since the 1980s he has discovered hundreds of good riding trails.
The good news is that he has now put them all together creating a Trans Morocco Trail running 3000kms. Just like the TET in Europe and the TAT in North America this should provide you weeks of entertainment.
You can preorder now in time for Christmas, but remember, Chris Scott will be at The Overland Event 2025 so you'll be able to pick up a signed copy and ask him about any plans you may have to visit Morocco.
If you are planning a big trip just about anywhere else in the world, you need to get yourself a copy of Chris Scott's ground-breaking and yet to be surpassed Adventure Motorcycling Handbook.
