Chloe Jones will be at the Winter Warmer to tell a travel story as unconventional as she is!

Chloe has always loved dirtbikes and from her rural childhood home in north-west England she dreamed of exploring the world, but began marine engineering training on the high seas, which is certainly one way of doing it!

After a few years on containerships she ended up living and working on a yacht undergoing a dry dock refit in San Diego, California, where she fell in love with the dirt bike scene in the USA, quit the job and spent almost a year chasing dirt trails and adventure in the States.

Only a month after returning to the UK she had itchy feet, only owned a Honda C90 at the time, but said screw it ... and rode that tiny Honda from Wales to Uzbekistan via Portugal. From broken spokes and rebuilding the top end of the engine, to getting caught in a snow storm and riding dirt trails in Russia, trouble always seemed to follow her, but adventure and good memories were guaranteed.

Forever grateful for the kindness of strangers, she made it back to UK and has gone back to school to study paramedicine while renovating a canal boat, but not before living in Japan for 2 months, cycle hitchhiking the Pamirs and Bartang Valley and learning cross-country skiing.

But what happened to the courageous C90 I hear you ask? Well you’ll need to hear her speak to find out… As with everything Chloe does, it’s nothing if not conventional, but you’ll learn the importance of good luggage!
